Embroidery Workshop

12.8.23

Join us at Pacific Saw Works on Friday, December 8th for an embroidery workshop with artist, Teryn Brown.

This 3 hour long introductory workshop will cover embroidery basics: setting up your hoop, thread possibilities, transfers and stabilizers, and (at least) four basic stitches and variations- satin stitch, straight stitch, chain stitch and lazy daisies, and french knots. All skill levels are encouraged to attend even if you have never held a needle and thread before.

All materials will be provided, but please feel free to bring your own embroidery hoops, fabrics, and thread if you want. I will have 6” hoops for you to use as well as a large assortment of fabrics and threads from my personal stockpile. You are also welcome to bring an item of non-stretch clothing to embroider on.

The class will be from 6:30pm-9pm and is a sliding scale suggested donation of $20 per person (includes supplies). Email Teryn at terynlorrainebrown@gmail.com to sign up! BYOB :)

Brush Lettering
Meditation Workshop

11.19.23

Join us at Pacific Saw Works on Sunday, November 19th for a brush lettering meditation workshop with Heather Hardison. In this workshop you will learn the basics techniques of script lettering with a brush pen. We will be transforming the gallery into a meditative space for you to get into the zone with the repetitive practice brush strokes that learning this kind of lettering requires. Expect good vibes, deep breathing, and inky fingers.

The class will be from 5pm-7pm and is a sliding scale suggested donation of $15-$40 per person (includes supplies). BYOB :)
